What is PAYLAX?

PAYLAX is a payment system tailored to online marketplaces, with which end-to-end payments can be processed securely and legally compliant. The trust-based, step-by-step procedure ensures maximum security between the participants and enables direct settlement of your commissions or fees.

For which business models is PAYLAX suited?

PAYLAX is a flexible payment solution and can handle many different business models. Thanks to a flexible role-based model, in addition to classic e-commerce platforms, it is also possible to connect to share economies or crowdfunding platforms.

What does PAYLAX cost?

The fees vary between 1 and 2.6 percent, depending on your sales volume and the deposited payment method.

In which country does my company have to be registered so that I can integrate PAYLAX?

Due to regulation, we only support companies registered in one of the 31 countries of the European Economic Area:

Can payments be processed internationally with PAYLAX?

A deposit into the Trust Account (PAYIN) can be made from anywhere in the world by VISA and Mastercard or bank transfer, as long as they are part of the list of countries for which we authorize payments.

Disbursements of funds can only be made to banks in the SEPA zone with a valid IBAN and BIC or to bankaccounts in the US and Canada.

What documents are required to connect PAYLAX into my business?

Due to legal regulations regarding fraud, money laundering and terrorist financing, we are obliged to obtain the following documents when opening a PAYLAX account for companies:

- Proof of identity (identity document) of the legal representative of the company

- Partnership contract or an official document in which the company name, activity, registered address, participation, etc. are named

- Excerpt from the business register (not older than 3 months) / trade license

- Shareholder declaration (template from us)

Can returns and refunds be made via PAYLAX?

As long as the money is in the escrow account, you can carry out (free) returns and (partial) refunds. After the money has left the trust account, the escrow payment is completed.

If you want to do a return or refund afterwards, you must create a new transaction.

What payment methods are available to my customers at PAYLAX?

The following means of payment are available to payers:

Manual bank transfer

Please note that for a manual bank transfer the intended use must be filled out correctly. Otherwise, your transfer can not be assigned and will be automatically posted back.

Which currencies are accepted?

Currently only payments in Euros are accepted. If your customers send or receive money in another currency, conversion fees may apply to the sender's or recipient's bank.

Additional currencies are being planned for the future. Please contact us if you are interested in a payment transaction in another currency.

What types of goods and services are excluded for payment processing with PAYLAX?

Unfortunately, due to the laws, regulations or requirements of our payment service providers, we can't offer our services to all companies. Below is a listing of goods or services we exclude.

- Weapons within the meaning of the Weapons Act, as well as parts thereof, ammunition, firecrackers and explosives

- Drugs and their accessories (narcotic substances

- Alcoholic drinks

- Gambling

- Adult entertainment

- Unlicensed auctions

- Private courier services
